What Vote My Clip Does

Vote My Clip manages online video competitions where users submit short videos, collect votes, receive judge scores, and view public results.

Community Support without signup

Visitors can watch and support eligible approved clips from Live through Judging without creating an account. Playback and new supports close when the contest is Completed or archived.

Protected public viewingThe dedicated page uses short-lived protected streaming, a visible watermark, and fullscreen playback. Direct media paths remain blocked.

One support per browserA protected browser identifier makes the action idempotent and additional rate limits reduce automated abuse.

Visible totalThe Community Support total appears separately on the watch page and public leaderboard.

Official voting stays verifiedAn official vote still requires a verified Public Voter account and follows the existing voting rules.

Community Support is not a vote. Its final visible total is frozen when the contest is Completed and never changes the official vote score, Judge score, ranking, prize allocation, or finalized result.

Transparent Scoring and Ranking Policy

The same published formula is applied to every approved clip in a contest.

Five criteriaCreativity, originality, performance, engagement, and technical quality are each scored from 0 to 10.

Full Judge panelEvery accepted Judge independently reviews every approved clip. Judges cannot see another Judge's scoring.

Final scores onlyDrafts never affect results. Judge results remain pending until the full panel finalizes every approved clip.

Fair tiesEqual final scores are compared by Judge score and then votes. Entries still equal at every published measure share the same rank and divide the prizes for the positions they occupy equally.

Only approved videos are eligible. Every submission must pass moderation before it can receive public votes, be reviewed by Judges, or appear in provisional or official ranking calculations. Pending, rejected, and archived videos are excluded.

Final ranking authority. Vote My Clip and the contest Organizer have final authority to verify participant eligibility, video compliance, and contest-rule integrity before official results are published. Rankings remain governed by the published scoring formula, tie policy, and audited server-side finalization workflow; they cannot be arbitrarily replaced by browser-supplied values.

Judge component(finalized panel average ÷ 50) × 700 to 70 points

Public vote component(clip votes ÷ highest clip votes in that contest) × 300 to 30 points; zero when the contest has no votes

Final scoreJudge component + public vote component0 to 100 points

Public votes are normalized inside each contest, so raw vote volume cannot exceed the published 30-point contribution. Judge totals are averaged only after equal finalized panel coverage is complete.

Participant entry

Participants join eligible contests, complete required payment steps, and upload their video.

Admin approval

Admins review submitted videos and approve, reject, or archive entries before public scoring.

Voting and judging

Public voters vote during voting windows. Judges score approved videos during judging workflows.

Leaderboard and certificate

Final score appears on the leaderboard and eligible users can verify or print certificates.

Account Type Responsibilities

Every account type has a specific workflow, so users see actions that match their role.

Payments, Results, and Certificates

Payments support entry and vote workflows, while certificates give users a verifiable result document.

In Production mode, real payment keys and live gateway confirmation should be used.
Leaderboard results are visible to public users without login, helping visitors discover winners and top entries.
Certificates can be opened and verified using the certificate number generated by the system.
